General rule = Apply products from thinnest to thickest.

Morning Skin Care Routine = Protect

  1. Cleanse - Cleansing in the morning is a great way to start your skincare routine. However, if you have thoroughly cleansed the night before, this might not be necessary and you can jump straight to toner.

  2. Tone - A toner is a water-based product that provides a quick hit of hydration, restoring the skin's pH balance and helping remove some dead cells off the surface. The result: plump, glowy skin!

  3. Serum - A serum is a light weight product that delivers a highly concentrated amount of active ingredients to the skin, quickly. For your morning skincare routine we recommend applying serums that contain ingredients such as; vitamins A, C and E which will increase protection against environmental aggressors.

  4. Eye Cream - The skin around the eyes is thinner and shows signs of ageing more quickly than other areas of the face do. This is why the delicate skin around your eyes needs an extra dose of TLC, which a regular face moisturiser might not be able to deliver.

  5. Moisturise - Moisturising is very important, it helps lock in hydration in the deeper layers of the skin.

  6. Protect - This is a step you simply cannot skip. Not only do sunscreens protect the skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays, but they also help prevent discolouration and dark spots from sun damage, helping you maintain a smoother and more even skin tone. A minimum of SPF 30 is recommended for everyday wear.

Evening Skin Care Routine = Replenish

  1. Double Cleanse - Double cleansing is a method of cleansing your face twice: First, with an oil-based cleanser (cleansing oil, balm or micellar water) and again with a water-based cleanser. This removes sweat, bacteria and old skin cells that you have accumulated throughout the day.

  2. Tone - Important step to restore your skin's pH balance

  3. Exfoliate - You should exfoliate your skin twice a week, preferably with a chemical exfoliator, as physical scrubs will most likely cause micro-tears in the skin.

  4. Serum - For your night time skincare routine, we recommend applying serums that contain ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, niacinamide or retinoids.

  5. Eye Cream - Apply on the thin skin around your eyes

  6. Moisturiser - We recommend applying a thicker moisturiser for the night time. Our Overnight Rejuvenating Face Cream is a great option, containing a natural emulsifier that aids a slower and much deeper absorption.
